Horning is situated immediately opposite the Bure Marshes National Nature Reserve, and as a result has a rich and varied wildlife. I do not propose to discuss the biology of the animals and plants illustrated, this is adequately covered in many guide books and other web-sites. This is a personal collection of the wildlife I've seen in Horning over the years. Further information about the Bure Marshes can be found on the English Nature web-site and about the species on the National Biodiversity Network Gateway. There is a gallery of photographs of wildlife to be seen in and around Horning - most of the photos were actually taken in Horning. |
